Junior Fishing Rodeo Held at William's Lake

Paris, Tenn.- The weather was great and the bobbers were sinking on Saturday at the Junior Fishing Rodeo at William's Lake. The banks were covered up with fishers with excited smiles.

Small Fry Parade Was Held On Saturday

Paris, Tenn.- The streets downtown at the square in Paris were filled with smiles at this year's WBFF Small Fry Parade. As always, the children, parents and spectators enjoyed their fun-filled morning on Saturday while participating and viewing the cute, fun annual event.

The Harvest Love Float, entered by the Carl Perkins Center, was rewarded the General Manager’s Choice Trophy.

There were three trophies given out for the Most Original Float

First Place: The Baby Bath Time Bubble Float

Second Place: The World’s Biggest Fish Fry All- American Football Float  

Third Place: The Trolling Through Fish Fry Trolls Float

Three floats also received trophies for the category Most Beautiful Float

First Place: The Peace, Love & Fish Fry Hippie Float

Second Place: The Sweetest Treats You’ll Ever Meet Float

Third Place: The Crown Jewels of Fish Fry Float

For the category winners for the Best Club or Church Float

First Place: Boy Scouts Pack 222 Float

Second Place: Future Farmers of America Float

Third Place: Republican Party Float

Out-of-town winners

First Place: The Iris Festival  

Second Place: The Strawberry Festival

Third Place: The Weakley County Aging Senior Center


The Fish Tent Was Full On Thursday, As So Were Many Bellies

Great Turn-out For The First Night Of The Art & Crafts Show

Paris, Tenn.- The Arts & Crafts Show in the Enoch Building and at the Fairground was full of vendors offering an array of items. The Arts & Crafts Show will be open through April 28th. Fish Tent Opens at 65th Annual WBFF

Paris, Tenn.- Hot fresh fried catfish fillets, french fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, and white beans were aplenty Wednesday night as the Fish Tent opened for the first time this year. A great crowd was on hand as the tent opened. David "Tater Hayes" spoke at the beginning and thanked everyone for coming and all the help from the Jaycees to put this huge event on each year.
